Let’s be honest, anyone can offer a donation pickup service. What separates us is our stellar customer service and practicing the principles we learn in recovery in all of our interactions. Just like at the house we should always be other centered and see what we can bring to the table as opposed to take. Some ways we can do this are:
  • Constant communication with the donor. 
  • Making sure we don’t leave the pickup a mess. 
  • Making sure we provide the donor with a donation receipt. 
  • Explaining our thought process behind rejecting an item. 
Remember, you may be a donor’s first interaction with The Beacon House, let’s make sure we’re good examples of what the house is doing for us in our lives.
