Introduction – Retail Operations

People are always going to go shopping.
A lot of our effort is just how do we make the retail experience a great one?
According to Indeed:
“Retail operations is a term that describes the daily tasks of employees within a retail store or chain. While retail marketing and business development focus on attracting new customers, operations focus on serving the needs of the customer when they enter an establishment or visit a retail website. An effective retail operations strategy ensures that customers have an enjoyable purchasing experience, which can encourage them to return or recommend the store to their family and friends. It can also keep the store running efficiently, which saves overhead costs and increases revenue.”

Essentially, these are our day-to-day operating procedures. There are several key components that will be covered in this course from customer service, to store presentation, to sales structures. When we’re executing all of these to the best of our ability, we are a beautiful symphony, a well-oiled machine, the 2002 Lakers.

It’s each of our responsibilities to make sure we are putting forth our best effort and holding our peers accountable. We’re a team, we win together, and we lose together, but we are always showing up and putting our best foot forward.
