Presentation Strategies

A great presentation sparks excitement at first sight and
builds anticipation for whats to come.
As previously stated in the visual merchandising portion of this course, the way an item is displayed is an integral part of being able to sell the item.
Items such as glassware must be placed with similar items, items like kitchenware must be placed with similar items. Items should also be clean and presentable, no one wants to buy a spoon with dried refried beans on it. Hopefully production does its part in making sure that items are clean and wiped down but unfortunately, sometimes items slip through the cracks and make it onto the floor with dust or dirt on them. Do not be afraid to take the initiative and clean these items.

A good habit to get in is placing items with similar tag colors together when and if possible. This allows us to be more efficient in our rag out process as well. Another benefit from organizing items according to tag color is that customers looking for a bargain are more likely to purchase our discounted items and it reduces the number of items we have to rag out.
