That is called a Google Search Ad, and Beacon House Thrift Shop uses these daily! As a non-profit, Beacon House Thrift Shop is eligible for a $10,000 monthly grant from Google to use towards our Search Ads campaigns.
But wait…there’s more!
Google ads will also allow you to advertise on non-search websites, mobile apps, and video sites such as YouTube. These are called Display, Video, and Shop Ads. It’s pretty darn powerful!
One of the most significant differences between Google Ads and social media (Facebook/Instagram) digital marketing is in how the Ads are delivered.
  • With Instagram/Facebook, you simply build your ad campaign, set your price, and target your audience. Once your Ad is published, their system will automatically deliver it to your optimal audience.

  • With Google Ads, you must build your ad campaigns focusing on trending keywords in your industry, and then outbid your competition so that your ad gets displayed. The interesting part of this as that as search trends change, so must your keywords and bidding strategies.

It's basically the Wild Wild West!

Plug in your headphones and check out the video below to see how a Google Ad is created.
