Local Print Advertisements

Oh So Tangible

As the digital age expands
and different forms of digital marketing take off, we often forget that there was print advertising before all this. Print advertising refers to physically printed media to reach our customers. For example, advertising within your local newspaper or magazine.

This form of advertising, at times, can be highly effective because it is quite literally a tangible form of content. The customer can hold onto it and refer back to it repeatedly.
With that said, as the younger generations become our future consumers, print advertisements are being used less and less.
Currently, Beacon House Thrift Shop utilizes print advertising in the following ways:
  • Advertisements in the local newspapers (like the Dailybreeze)
  • Physical brochures that our donation pickup crew hands out on every pickup. These brochures educate the donor on what the Beacon House Thrift Shop is and it’s relation to The Beacon House. On the back is their donation receipt.
These days we primarily focus on our digital marketing avenues, however we must continue to do some print advertising so we can reach the most people possible. This is called multi-channel marketing.
Multichannel marketing refers to the practice by which companies interact with customers via multiple channels.
